Three-year-old Smith lives with his younger sibling and frail grandmother. His mother has left the village, leaving his grandmother struggling to provide for the family by cultivating her land.
Kageno has supported the family by establishing a kitchen garden and providing seeds to help them grow food at home.
Smith attends Kageno Nursery School, where he receives a nourishing breakfast and lunch each school day while learning to read, write, and count in a safe and supportive environment. School provides Smith with consistency and an opportunity to learn and grow.
Smith is a kind little boy who loves playing football.
