The Child Sponsorship Program supports education, healthcare, and food for the children within the Kageno communities.
The first years of a child’s life are crucial when it comes to early childhood development. Your donation to our Child Sponsorship Program, in combination with those of other sponsors, ensures that the neediest children will attend Kageno Nursery Schools. Funds raised support the teachers’ salaries, provide school supplies, books, maintenance of the classrooms, and whatever else is needed.
If we want school children to learn, it helps if they are not hungry. Kageno, in partnership with Table for Two, serves two hot meals every school day. Health benefits are further advanced through the play that builds their fine and gross motor skills, the vaccinations and checkups they receive, and instructions on proper dental care and personal hygiene.

Here is a sample of the children who are hoping for your support. They are all from very poor families and attend Kageno’s SL Nursery School in Banda Village, Rwanda. Many are graduates of Kageno’s Malnourished Children’s Program. They are doing well at school now and, with Kageno’s help, at home. While they are each unique with their own personalities, they share the same love of learning and play, and the need of your sponsorship to continue to thrive.
