Three-year-old Bernard lives with his single mother in a small home. The family has few resources, and his mother works for Kageno collecting fodder for cattle to help support them.

When Bernard was younger, he became malnourished and was admitted to Kageno’s Malnourished Feeding Program.

Bernard now attends Kageno Nursery School, where he receives breakfast and lunch each school day while learning foundational skills in pre-reading, pre-writing, and counting.

Bernard is a playful little boy who enjoys spending time with his classmates and playing soccer.
